Connect Your YouTube Channel

To get started with YouTube integration, you'll need to connect your YouTube channel. This allows SI StreamKit to manage your chat, provide AI interactions, and engage with your viewers.

📋 Important: Permission Information

During authorization, Google will show you TWO permission checkboxes. You must check BOTH for the bot to work properly.

The checkboxes you'll see:

"See, edit, and permanently delete your YouTube videos, ratings, comments and captions."

Why you see this: Our @si-streamkit bot account uses this permission to send chat responses. Your personal account will NEVER use this permission — we only READ your live chat messages. However, because our application uses this permission for the bot functionality, Google's OAuth policy requires us to request it from all users, even though it won't be exercised on your account.

"View your YouTube account."

What we use: Read your live chat messages, detect when you go live, and display your channel information (name, profile picture, subscriber count).

âš ī¸ YOU MUST CHECK BOTH CHECKBOXES

Our @si-streamkit bot account uses the write permission to send chat responses. Your streamer account only reads chat. Both permissions are required for the system to function.
